The Dreadnaught

Dreadnaughts are large (roughly one ton) predominately herbivorous alligatorids native to warm regions of North America in an unspecified future timeline. Adaptation to terrestrial habits include a more upright - though not entirely erect - stance and reduced webbing on the limbs. Nonetheless, most of their diet is found in and around streams and ponds and their teeth are still primitive and poor at managing dry upland vegetation. This is a male, identifiable by his more colorful head and throat, presumably put to use attracting mates and blushed to intimidate rivals.
