The Battle for Survival

A young male Lucknoun (with new redesign!), a hunter from a polar savannah tribe on the Andromeran supercontinent, has gone off on his own and left behind the others of his party to attempt a surprise ambush and bring down one of the most delectable but equally so dangerous big game creatures of his region - the formidable Northern Duckopotamus, a beast which could feed his clan for weeks. Though the large, herbivorous griffon may appear docile, they are incredibly aggressive if angered or cornered. Taking aim with a primitive but effective blowdart dipped in the neurotoxic venom of some small Anomolospectrodontid rodent, it will take only one well-placed shot to render a ton and a half of flesh and feather to dead weight - but only a single bite from an ineffectively inebriated monster's bony bill to crush the lithe predator's entire body to a pulp.
